Congratulations! We are pleased to be of service in making your special occasion more memorable by publishing your announcement in The Huntsville Times. “Celebrations” appears each week in The Times’ Life & Leisure section. Announcements published are also posted on our online affiliate, al.com.
Milestone anniversaries, complimentary engagement announcements and complimentary wedding announcements are free of charge. Customized packages that include additional information and photos require prepayment. We offer up to half-page packages that may include multiple photos.

Submit your information to us, along with payment (if applicable), at least two weeks prior to requested publication date. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, as well as personal check. Checks should be made payable to The Huntsville Times. Announcement information cannot be taken by telephone.
Tell us how you met
Your wedding announcement will appear in the Life & Leisure section, but we’d like to share more of your story with our readers – at no additional expense to you.
Every Sunday, we will select one announcement from that day and spotlight that couple in 50-100 words on the front of the section in a feature called “How We Met.” If would like to be considered for selection on the Sunday your announcement runs, please tell us your story on the form included with the wedding announcement packet.
We also need a color photograph of the two of you together, preferably one different than what is running in the announcement. Return the “How We Met” form with your wedding announcement forms.
Available packages
Complimentary packages are free and include the following for weddings and engagements: 75 words with no photo and an announcement presence on al.com. For milestone anniversaries, the complimentary package includes 100 words, a color photo and an announcement presence on al.com. To qualify for the complimentary milestone anniversary package, you must be celebrating a 25th anniversary, or 50th anniversary or higher.
