Monthly features in print

Each edition will spotlight leading researchers and innovators who are developing solutions to our greatest challenges in technology, space, and missile defense. Each month 42 columnist Dr. Daniel Crosby, a Huntsville native and President of IncBlot Organizational Psychology, will show how the best business practices and best people practices are interwoven and how improving one positively can impact the other. And featured each month will be profiles of some of the approximately 285 companies and 15,000 employees who make up the second-largest research and technology park in the United States.

Q&A: Each month 42 will interview a local corporate leader to find out how they make difficult business decisions and to provide insight to their company’s future direction. We’ll inquire about their educational and corporate background and how it prepared them for their current position and responsibilities. We’ll ask about their greatest career achievement (so far) and, of course, find out about their involvement in the Huntsville community.

People on the move: 42 each month will bring readers a roundup of major personnel moves within Cummings
Research Park, Redstone Arsenal and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Keep up with who has been promoted, who is leaving Huntsville to tackle new challenges, and who’s moving to the Rocket City to work for a company with local operations or government entity. A free feature, “People on the Move” offers companies the ideal forum for spreading the word about their new executives.

Face-to-face: A spin-off of the popular “Here’s Looking at You” feature each Tuesday in The Huntsville Times, “Face to Face” is a monthly look back at social events involving employees of Cummings Research Park companies. Whether it’s a corporate gala or holiday party, fundraising event or even a company picnic, readers will be able submit their photographs for inclusion in “Face to Face” in each issue. Readers can find out who attended and what they wore, how much was raised or who entertained, plus much more.

In brief: A monthly roundup of newsworthy items and contract awards. No item is too large or too small – whether it’s a corporate acquisition, a CRP company announcing it will award scholarships or a firm being recognized by its corporate partner for supplier excellence. The Federal Contracts list in each issue of “42″ lets readers learn which companies have received government contracts, along with their length and value.
